My apologies, but due to difficulties somewhere in Yahoo land, I had to re-enter this question. So I’ll try again.

With the arctic ice cap expected now to be ice free much earlier than originally thought which will lead to several feedbacks scenarios related to earth albedo. Possibly as early as 2013 .

With the billions of tons of carbon locked in peat of the arctic permafrost that encircles the arctic now thawing at alarming rates and releasing huge amounts of methane from anaerobic activity.

With the portions of the southern ocean now reaching CO2 saturation

And of course the ultimate tipping point, methane clathrate destabilization.

How much time do you believe we have until we reach the first major catastrophic tipping point.
Do you believe it will be sooner than later?
