How much to replace the front wheel bearing in a 2000 Volkswagen Golf?

I need my front driver side wheel bearing replaced, because it is humming like a WWII airplane. How much would it cost? I was quoted $250. That seems like a lot. I found the bearing at Pep Boys for $30, and I was thinking of buying it myself, then having someone just put it on. Do I just need the bearing itself, or is there like a kit you have to get to replace with the bearing. I have put the link to a picture of the bearing. Is this all I would need? Thanks

Should be pretty easy to replace yourself. For the front you can do just the bearing I think. Never done it on a VW tho. Heres the bearings for back and front:
