how much would it cost to get a spare key for 2004 Mazda 3?

I purchased a used 2004 Mazda 3 Hatchback from the dealership but unfortunately they didn't have a spare key for this one.. and it's one of those keys where they have a chip inside them that the engine's ecu can only identify in order to start up the car.. i went to local locksmiths that duplicate these type of keys but they said that I can only get this key from a Mazda dealership... I'm just curious around how much would it cost me to order a spare key like mine from the dealership? a source would be nice too if possible.. Thanks!!
