I'm trying to change my cooking style to the more healthy alternative.
Shopping at local grocery stores, in aim for alternative dishes, I consider changing from the sweet (Yellow) onion flavor to cooking with leek.
How / what way does leek taste and cook in standard Asian and other meal styles?
And can the entire plant (stalk and base) be cooked and eaten?
I have eaten yellow onions to add the sweet flavor to my meals all my life and am seeking recipe (and improved diet) -alternatives.
Thanks.
