free life really pisses me off? she is 25 and gets a settlement check every month that is large enough (not lottery huge, like middle class wages size) to cover her bills and then some and she doesnt have to work at all. She is constantly saying stuff like "omg handing over this huge rent check is so hard" that type of statement is so frustrating because all she does is wait for a check....not exactly hard...hard to pay rent is someone like me who has to work 30hours to get enough for rent... or when i get to her house after work she will say "oh i didnt do anything all day, I never do,its sooooo boring" i want to be like um, at least you can be bored, i havent had a day off in a long time, i dont have time to be bored. shes just really oblivious, or she'll say "omg i spent sooo much money on nail polish" or "not having a job isnt all its cracked up to be" basically she complains about having too much money and no job. there are so many more things she says but i'm keeping it short. Shes a really great person and i know she is unaware that i am frustrated to the point i never want to go to her house. shes not grateful at all for her situation in life (basically being retired at 25) all she does is complain about it.

How can I tell her that these types of statements, or complaining about money things really pisses me off and comes off as gloating and makes her look so oblivious and insensitive? (when she complains about money its not about not having enough, it'll be like ugg i hate having to go and cash these checks, its sooo annoying)

Next time she says something about money, just say, "You should see how bad it feels when you have to work for the money you have to spend."

Are these settlement payments going to last the rest of her life? If not, she's going to be in a world of hurt when they stop. If she doesn't do anything thing all day long, I think your assessment of her being "a really great person" is completely wrong.
