I have a pontiac GTP with 6.5 components in the front and 6 by 9 coaxials in the rear. All speakers are stock. I have about a thousand dollars saved for my audio system. I already have a deck, pioneer premier in fact, so now I want to complete my system. I'm looking for SQ. Althought, I don't know which set up to go with? I was thinking components in the front, two 8" subwoofers in the rear 6 by 9 slots, and a 12" subwoofer in the trunk. You may ask, why 8" subwoofer instead of 6 by 9's? Well all my 6 by 9's are doing now is covering the mids. I don't drive around in the back seat, so I care less what it sounds like back there. So basically, my components would cover most of the highs, my 8" subwoofers would cover the mids, and my 12" subwoofer, well ofcourse cover the lows. But heres the thing, I dont want to have a sub box in my trunk. I don't want to sacrifice any room. Now, I need to go with another set-up. Another thing I was confused on is my components. I need to bring my bass up from the rear to get the all around sound effect. I was told to get an 8" midbass driver n throw it up by my door panels. Well I already have a 6.5 woofer from my components? Couldn't I just replace the woofer from my components, and throw in an 8" midbass driver? But then my crossover wouldn't match? So I would have to get custom components, right? Then If i were my 8" mid bass drivers up front, I was thinking about putting two 10" subwoofers in the 6 by 9 rear spot, and building a box for each of them. So, I would have two 10" subs in the rear, custom components with an 8" mid-bass driver in each door panel. Everthing amplified, including sound dampening material, bass blockers, etc. What do you think it would sound like? Will I cover all frequencies? and get that all around perfect sound effect? Please help me figure out what set up to go with?! Thankyou!

[QUOTE="t, post: 1991003, member: 115274"] I know key components into producing the perfect car audio system, like equalizers, bass blockers, sound dampening material, amplifiers, component speakers, subwoofers, mid-bass drivers, crossovers, etc. etc. But I don't know how to throw it all together? I have a pontiac GTP with 6.5 components in the front and 6 by 9 coaxials in the rear. All speakers are stock. I have about a thousand dollars saved for my audio system.
