How to attach a tail to a dress....Read more lol?

I'm singing a song called "Amayzing Mayzie" and i need to attach a bunch of feather boas to a dress for my tail. I need to attach it firmly, because i'm going to be dancing and moving around A LOT!!!!! I'm thinking about hot gluing it, but will it come off? and i'm putting gems on my shoes and i'm gonna hot glue them but will they come off?!?!
THANK YOUUUUUUUUU!

Hot glue on the shoes should work ok, for the boas, I'd go with three or four safety pins on each or sewing them to the fabric, I don't think hot glue would hold up to dancing.
