How to catch a litter of stray kittens?

There are stray cats in the neighborhood which my family feeds. The mommy cat recently had a litter of kittens and is now trying to ween them. Me and my mom are wanting to catch the three kittens knowing we cannot tame them after they are weened. As we would like to find them homes. Any suggestions on how we could sucessfuly catch and tame the kittens without being attacked by mom and dad cat would be greatly appreciated!
