How to convert to Judaism when you are far away from any synagogue?

I am wanting to convert to Judaism but problem is I am far away from any synagogue.
Specifically I am looking for an Orthodox synagogue and the closest one is over an hour away and I have limited transportation. Has anyone run into a similar problem before? What did you do about it?
If you insult my faith, do NOT expect me to respect yours. It is a two way street.
We just have to agree to disagree. However, a asinine answer isn't going to make me magically go "Okay, I give up".
I am a military spouse without a job so I don't have the luxury of moving. The closest orthodox synagogue is about an hour to an hour and a half away, but like I said I have limited transportation.

It's a deal. I'm an atheist, by the way.

All religion is evil and stupid. Changing from one to the other is simply trading one set of delusions for another. Why not consider living in reality with the other intelligent people? It's really the best way to go, you know.

I'm still learning about Judaism but aren't you supposed to live within a certain distance of a synagogue in the stricter forms of Judaism but assuming you're planning on staying a distance away from a synagogue (and don't think I'm judging I just don't know enough to judge even if I was the judgmental type), try this web site:

You have more problems than That, seeing as They don't think that the messaih has come even the first time then that means the Old Testament Covenant still applies and there is in lies the problem, Where is the Ark of the Covenant ? How can you sacrifice Bulls and goats on an Altar? Were is the Holy of Holies now ? who is the High priest and since you no longer have an Ark how is that to be fulfilled ?

Understand that Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of the Hebrew prophecies of a coming Messiah. Psalms 22:14-18 describes an event undeniably similar to Jesus' crucifixion, "I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint. My heart has turned to wax; it has melted away within me. My strength is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth; you lay me in the dust of death. Dogs have surrounded me; a band of evil men has encircled me, they have pierced my hands and my feet. I can count all my bones; people stare and gloat over me. They divide my garments among them and cast lots for my clothing." Clearly this messianic prophecy can be none other than Jesus Christ whose crucifixion fulfilled each of these details (Luke 23; John 19).

I live in a pretty non-Jewish state with little access to a Jewish community when I first started out. In the end, you have to decide how important something is in your life. I ended up moving an hour and a half north and changing my place of work. Which is not a luxury everyone has. If you want to be an Orthodox Jew, you will need to live within walking distance that's comfortable for you. So you may need to make some life decisons. In the meantime, you can read (or continue to read) about Judaism. I know of a conservative site in Chicago that does conversions online, but I don't recommend online. Judaism is a faith that should be celebrated with community and family.

There are a few rabbis who will do most of the conversions online (although my own LOR doesn't think very much of this concept). You might try the online group below (first link) or e-mail a rabbi in Chicago (second link). Good luck!
