I just started using speech recognition yesterday so I'm having a myriad of problems with it, but this is the most important one right now. I'm using the inbuilt speech recognition software with Windows 7. When dictating in Wordpad, every time I try to use a hyphen, it just zooms out. The list of speech commands gives three options for the command: hyphen, dash and minus sign. No matter which of these I use, I still get the whole thing zoomed out and no punctuation!
It doesn't work like this in Word, however - there it puts in a hyphen just fine. How can I change this to do what I want it to do?
