Message: <blockquote data-quote="ioerr" data-source="post: 2573952" data-attributes="member: 346811">That's a good question.  I guess I'd try a couple things.  First, if you're trying to make the desktop manager pull the 5.0 software down over the internet, go to your carrier's download site for blackberry devices, download a complete copy of the 5.0 software from there as an executable file and install that on your computer, then try the downgrade to the version you downloaded with your browser.  Also I guess I'd run through the app loader and uninstall absolutely everything possible, and see if the downgrade works after that.
