How to introduce myself to a girl?

Well, I'm a highschool junior. A while back, these two girls asked me if I thought their friends was pretty. I told them yes. Later, they told me that she wanted to talk to me. A few days passed but she never talked to me. Her friends told me to forget about it because she was acting dumb.
Now, I see her in school, walking to classes, in the cafeteria.
My questions are: Does she like me or what is just something stupid?
and how do I approach her and introduce myself?

she probably doesnt like you because she doesnt know you, but she's probably intrested and thinks you're cute.
you should try to make friends with those two girls and gradually start to hang out with them in between classes a littlle and then from there meet the girl.

If you think about this for a moment ,you will see that she does not even know you really. So if you want to meet her then when you see her in school just walk up to her and introduce yourself to her. Just say "Hi I'm Dan and just wanted to say hello to you." Then when you see her in class,in the halls or at lunch say ( Hi ! ) to her.And once you have broken the ice you can find some little things to talk to her about,like a certain class or up coming school event.
