How To Play Downloaded Torrent Games?

Alright I just downloaded a game with uTorrent (Portal). The guys says the game is UNRar and Play. I have WinRAR so I UNRar'd the file and I find 4 folders and 2 files. One is a very large file called hl2.exe, and the other is fairy small and it's called Play_Portal.bat. I extracted hl2.exe and whenever I press the Play_Portal I see a black window pop up and it dissappears and nothing happens. Anybody know why this is happening? The four folders say bin, hl2, platform, and portal.
