i have a 1964 chevrolet c10 with a 60 GMC 305 V6 and i need to know how to pull the engine. there are no bolts holding the engine to the transmission but i just wont let go of the trannt

is it an automatic? did you remove the flex plate bolts? you can "wire" the tranny up to the cowl slits to keep it from falling down. auto's have two dowels that can be tight, so use a bar or screw driver to pry it away from the motor and a standard has the input shaft you have to clear so pull the motor up and forward. probably have to take the fan and shroud off to get room. loosen the tranny mount and use a floor jack to raise it some as you pull the motor. every motor job is different so take your time and watch what you are doing.
