How to set a signature for an LG Optimus V?

Hey guys, I've been trying to figure out how to set a text message signature on my LG Optimus V for a while now, and I don't know how. I've heard of Chomp SMS, an app that allows you to set signatures along with a ton of other stuff, but I really just want to set one on my phone itself, without having to open the app every time I text. Also, I don't want to have to re-enter my signature after every text, as that somewhat defeats the purpose.

If anyone if familiar with signatures on this type of phone, I'd really appreciate some help. Thanks!
