How to set up contacts for my LG Lotus Elite without the phone?

I ordered the LG Lotus Elite from Sprint but it doesn't get here until Monday. I want to set up all of my contacts for it on my computer over the weekend so when it gets here I'll be able to sync them quickly and it will be ready to go. I'd love to be able to set other options too but that's not as necessary. I know I can get pc sync software but can the contacts be set up first on the computer and then it all synchronized when the phone arrives? I'd prefer not to do it through Outlook. Anybody know how to do it right?
