How to stop 4 month old Pomeranian from whining/barking when gone?

Just took home this little boy, wondering how or what I can do to stop this barking when I leave his side! I have school in september and will be away for a good part of the day. Crate training? How do I go about it?

This is right up my Ally. I have a Pom boy too and what i did was crate train him and it made him feel safe and he whinnied for the first few night but i think that will work well. Wish you the best
