How to stop gossiping?

I don't ever really bring up gossip but when someone else does I can't help but to get relly into it, It's almost like those are the best conversations I have with people and bring me a sense of fullfillment, I on't want to be like this anymore so what do i do if I want a good conversation with them but they bring up gossip???
 
When someone starts gossiping, leave. or if you are in a situation where you can't leave, then just try to quickly change the conversation to something they might be interested on. or simply remind yourself that you can't be gossiping or that will turn you into someone you don't want to be.
