You can search for Shiba Inu rescue groups in your area or inquire at local shelters. However they are a pretty popular breed right now, so it will be difficult to find a purebred puppy to adopt, if that's what you're looking for.
They can be very catlike and kind of stubborn so proper and consistent training by EVERYONE handling the dog is a must. I wouldn't recommend them for a first time dog owner, but if you're prepared to put forth the effort, they can be a very rewarding dog to own. There are many websites that can give you specific tips.
