I bought a venus flytrap a week ago. This week I went out to the hardware store and bought a plant light bulb. It has 65 watts and a blue tint to it. I also got an adjustable fixture for it. I have it temporary set up in my bedroom. I'm not sure what to do with it. How much water should I be giving it? How much light? What's an ideal heat? Can you give me any tips or information or articles about how to take care of a venus flytrap?
Also, I was curious when I bought my venus flytrap so I fed it a tiny piece of ham to see what it would do. It closed in on it and ate it. However, it's almost a week later when I did this and the venus flytrap has not opened back up again. There's also a brownish/black spot on the outside of the venus flytrap. So umm... should I be concerned?
