How to train a puppy from using potty pads to going outdoors?

OK, so I've had my Chihuahua puppy since he was 10wks old. He's now almost 19wks old. He's gotten used to using potty pads indoors to go to the bathroom. Once he has had all of his shots, I plan on taking him to puppy parks and outdoors more often.

If I take up the puppy pads, he still wants to go in that area because of the scent I guess. I'd like to know how to get him from being used to going on the puppy pads to going to the bathroom outside.

take your dog outside to walk. constantly.

i take my dog outside in the morning after feeding them, afternoon, and dinner, then before i go to bed.

my dog used to use potty pad when i got her i had to train her to poop on the pad then after she started using the pads on her own now i take her outside instead. just walk her around your yard or house until she pee's/poop's if you live in a dangerous neighborhood with pervs and drug addicts i suggest walking with your dad or a male or bring protection. pepper spray tazers, pockert knife w.e to procted yourself if someone tries to rape you or w.e. or like i said just walk your dog around your house like wat i do.

idk if its just my dog or what but if i do not walk them very far they will not poop so try to walk your dog far maybe like a 5 minute walk.
