How to travel from Athens, Greece to Ireland (Dublin or Galway) without flying?

Dear friends, it might be needed for me, in the near future, to travel regularly to Ireland from Greece, but I am afraid of flying. Is there any experienced traveler out there to help? Could I travel to Ireland by ship or train? Which is the fastest way? Thank you in advance.
