How to travel to Paris with a Brazillian Passport?

My Boyfriend is Brazillian though he has Dual nationality. We are travelling in 2 weeks to Paris from London where we live and he has just told me he cannot find his german passport. His Brazillian passport runs out in August.... I'm confused , but then again I dont understand all this.... can anyone help me please? How can we travel to Paris.... What do we need to do??
