1) correct way: hook up a scan tool to the OBDII port and send the command to shut it off
2) easy way: disconnect the battery for about 10 seconds
Just note, if the problem hasn't actually been fixed, the light will eventually come on again, but it may stay off for as many as a couple hundred miles.
