how to unlock iphone 3gs on os 4.0 5.12.1 firmware?

I have a Iphone 3gs with 5.12.1 modem firmware and with the 3.1.3 os in it.
I have been able to use the phone for 3 months now because of the modem firmware issue and was waiting for the 4.0 os to be released and get an unlock for the phone.
Its been too long and if there still isnt a solution the only option i have is to sell it on ebay on dirt cheap rates.

Can anyone tell me if there is an unlock out for the 3gs 5.12.1 modem frimware for the 4.0 os or even the 3.1.3...i just want to use the iphone as a phone..it doesnt matter what firmware i am in.
