Can my tmobile BB Curve 8520 be unlocked? if so, once unlocked, can it be activated on Page Plus Wireless or Straight Talk? Please provide steps and tips. Thanks in advance all!

Yes the Blackberry 8520 curve can be unlocked from network lock.But it can unlocked from Only GSM network lock ,Gsm Network like T-Mobile ,AT&T,Vodafone etc,You cannot unlock it from CDMA Network lock like Verizon,Cricket,Metor Pcs etc.
After unlock You can use with only GSM Network Sim card,You cannot use with CDMA Network Sim Card....If the straight Talk and PAGE Plus is GSM network means you can use with Blackberry after Unlock,It's CDMA Network means YOU Cannot,Straight talk is Not GSM i know that Only....To Unlock the Blackberry Phone use the Unlock code,Get the code from here Theunlockarena.com and UNLOCK IT.

Warning : Do not enter any wrong unlock codes on your Blackberry 8520 Curve mobile phones. If you enter over a certain amount of wrong unlock codes on your Blackberry 8520 Curve mobile phone, your phone may get hard locked and sometimes become unusable.

1 - Switch ON your Blackberry 8520 Curve with your current network/service provider's SIM card.
2 - Using the menu go to Settings Menu -> SIM card and press select.
3 - While holding the SHIFT key, type mepd.(NOTE: You may not see any text appear on the screen while typing mepd)
4 - You should now see the five locking categories listed.
5 - While holding the SHIFT KEY, type mep2.(NOTE: You may not see any text appear on the screen while typing mep2).
6 - Release the shift key.
7 - You will now be prompted to enter the Network MEP code. (it will also state how many attempts left)
8 - Enter the Unlock Code.
9 - Enter Return/Enter.
10 - The Blackberry 8520 Curve should then be unlocked.
