A few months ago we had some new people move in directly across the street. My first meeting with them was him wanting to borrow garden tools he had circled my house to see that I had, (they were under my back porch, not visible from any public space) and to offer me the opportunity to buy prescription pain pills. Of course I said I was not interested. The second was an altercation with a teen girl friend of their son, where she broke my mailbox with a baseball bat. The third was when my car got stuck half on the road trying to pull into my driveway, man and boy shoveled me out. Fourth meeting and fifth meeting was yesterday. She came over to my house to ask if we party, do we know where to find pot?
I'm not sure why the family would think that we are the same type of people they are. I don't do drugs. I don't drink.
How do I tactfully, and safely, get rid of these people before they become a problem?
I know they have to be nuts, break my mailbox, then shovel my car out? Too hot and cold. Besides, I'm anti social and don't like people anyway. I do animal rescue for a living. I simply want to be left alone, in peace, with a working mailbox.
