I am working on a book, considering the story concept, i think the best audience would be the young adult section. (everyone on earth has super powers except for one man.)
Now this is something I have a lot of ideas for, I know I'm getting ahead of myself but I have a 5 book arc in my head.
In book 4 the heroes girlfreind dies, and he kills her killer (a woman if that means anything) This is the first time the hero kills someone, but he is so angry and so full of hate, his family has already been killed (book 3) and this was the most important person in his life.
Can you get away with your hero torturing and killing someone if they really deserved it. I know that killing good guys is okay, but to actually have the hero kill a villain. And not just kill, he makes her suffer, (She is magnetic and he sets up powerful magnets in her room and kills her by cranking up the energy so high that the metal objects in her apartment start to fly at her while she is doubled over with internal pain, and she is killed by the fridge slamming into her.)
