How well is my dog going to adapt to being taken away from it's family?

We are getting a lovely black lab retriever next monday, and we are going to be taking it away from its mother, brother and sisters and I am really worried that he is going to miss them and be really upset, to the point that we have to take him back.

Do most dogs get used to being took away from there family? He is 6 months old at the moment. We took a blanket round last week so that he can carry the smells of his family when we take him to our house.

Also, is £400 for a lovely natured black lab retriever a good price? We have seen his parents but he is not KC registered, which is a bit worrying.

most dogs feel sad at first but in a few days they should act like their normal selves.
 
It'll take 24-48 hours.
Paying that amount of money for NON-registered dog is INSANE!!!!
