I think China may becoming a new leader in humor. Some of the jokes made by the Chinese officials were - Napoleon Bonaparte was of han chinese ancestry and so is Ghenghis Khan. - Okinawa island(Japan's territory) belongs to China because Ryukyu kingdom was founded by Chinese migrants. - Chinese invented golf and football(soccer for americans) - Hangul(korean alphabet) is invented by han chinese. I don't know if majority of chinese can read Korean writing. - Dalai Lama is a terrorist. This one was good because Dalai is an old man in orange monk robe keeps bowing his head with his hands on his chest. - Yue Fei, a general during Song dynasty who defended Song dynasty from the Qings is NOT A HERO. He was praised for long time as a hero to the Han Chinese people for defending his people from the outsiders. Chinese officials said "we need to rethink whether Yue Fei is a hero or not because after all, Qings were Chinese too. Not to mention Manchus lived outside the Great wall of China. This one is briliant because this reminds me of the novel "1984" How good do you think these jokes are? My friend is from Hong Kong and he told me one earliest joke was To children. "Mao Zedong is more closer to each one of you than your father and mother" It was old so I couldn't get a good laugh but now I am seeing a huge progress. what is wrong with you all?
