Professional harpists do not travel "with" their harps. They pay to have them professionally shipped by truck to specific venues where it is unloaded and set up by qualified technicians. Many do have smaller harps that they can transport by a smaller truck. They still need to have them unloaded with help of more than one person and then help reloading them after the engagement. Harpists who frequently travel and play with large symphonies will often rely on an instrument being provided for them.
