I am writing a book review on a hopelessly dry and emotionless book. My teacher is a super funny guy, even his handouts on the instructions for the review are humorous. I strongly disliked the book and he says in his instructions that the most important thing in the paper is to make sure we tell him what we thought of the book. I don't want to be too brutal b/c while the book was informative it took caffeine to help me through it. Since this is a review and not a science paper or a thesis would it, in your opinion, be appropriate to poke a little fun at the book in the section of the paper on my thoughts?
