The back of the bottom right of my gum (more specifically, I think the area is called the retromolar pad) is hurting. Just recently I noticed that I could lift it slightly and see the back of the wisdom tooth that happens to be growing there (the [retromolar pad?] partially overlaps my wisdom tooth.). I also noticed some very small excretions of some clear, yellow fluid come out of the [retromolar pad] when I put pressure on it. I have a small doubt that this pain was caused by my wisdom tooth, because there also seems to be a small red scar/wound-like thing just above the retromolar pad. I was wondering if the pain and swelling was because of a possible infection that was causing the small excretions.

I plan on going to a dentist or doctor to hear their ideas, but I was curious if anyone else has any ideas on it.

What's causing the pain?
How can I treat it/ease the pain?
I think the excretions are just saliva that got in there.
