more RAM or a better processor? I need a decent laptop as i am just about to start computing at university.

I am lookin for 3 or 4 GB or a Ram i think, but how much difference will it noticably make.

I want the best laptop i can get for around 500-600 pounds.

I dont want a processor less than 2GHz i belive and in the budget i am assuming its goin to be a Intel Core 2 Duo - mid range

concentrate on both, a dual core CPU with at least 2.6ghz is good and at least 3gb of ddr2(ddr3 is best but is expensive).
