i am going to rant but does any one agree?

My 20 year old son and his girlfriend are both unemployed and have been on and of since 16. My son gave up his last job and the both of them sit in their flat, not getting up till lunchtime etc etc.
it totally drives me mad as they are both fit healthy young people. Why isnt the job centre pushing them into getting jobs, or training or something. it is such a waste and we are all paying for it.
I am sure most people on here know someone exactly the same. It would do them good to be working as they really struggle with their money i.e pawning all their stuff every week and then buying it back when they get their dole money. It is madness!
I no longer give them money or food but it is so frustrating because the older they get the harder it will be.
does anyone agree?

I agree, local radio the other week was reporting how fruit farmers will have to leave their fruit to rot on the plant because of new immigration rules we can not get enough Eastern European labour to come and pick it. The farmer was asked why English people didn't do the work, was it very low paid? No, £6.15 per hour to pick fruit, and people in England won't do the work!!!!!!

But what is the answer, give them no social services so they have no money at all? Is it right to make them starve?

Sorry to say but people like them tend to be slow learners and far to fast to blame others. I would be hoping they dont get married, dont have children and sure as hell dont get caught up in the drug world. Other then that they seem to have forgotten to grow up. Tough love time. Dont give them stuff and let them know why.

this must be awful for you after all your hard work bringing him up, theres not much you can do about him. don't nag at him, just make out you have lost interest in him because of his laziness, i would advise you to start seeing to yourself a lot more, you have done your job with him, its up to him now. show him that mums got her own life and is going to live whether he gets of his a*se or not

They're probably drug dealers! Maybe you should reserch some college corses that they might enjoy and encorage them to do that. I have just started a low budget film production course!

It's the sad facts of live in this country today, people don't want to work and don't need to work as the goverment will supoort them every step of the way. For me personally I'd have no pride if I did not work and would hate to sit around all day knowing my life is going nowhere, that must be very sad.
