I am having a problem with emule. Installed fine will not start.?

I have emule installed fine, but when I dubble click to start the program the computer thinks for about 2 sec. and then nothing.? I am running vista and I have read that people are using emule just fine. I have tried downloading two different versions but still the same problem. I do not get any error messages and no pop ups.? Please help.
