i am intrested in writing a book?

ive had some idea,s floating around my head now for a year or so and ive always wanted to write a book but i always found a reason not to and most of the time being pessimistic thinking it would be a waste of time but now i want to give it a shot ive got some great idea,s its just putting them onto paper.
anyone got any tips on how to get started?.
