I am very interested in the goth subculture....?

Hi guys I am a 13 year old male and I've recently been very interested in the gothic subculture and I'm ready for it the only problem is that my parents are fine with everything but the MAKE UP I've tried to convince them but they won't budge they always say stuff like make up is not for guys or just no. how can i convince my folks to let me do this please help because i am really interested in goth.thanks guys.
