I attempted suicide, hanging, cutting throat?

I attempted to hang myself, and I also cut my throat. I lived, and now my face is covered in reddish purple specks almost like freckle sized hickies. I'm not looking for opinions of what a mistake I made, but I'd like some information on the specks and how, what they are, and how long I'll have them.
