i booked a holiday for my family and for august.for genuine reasons i cannot

go on those dates.? i contacted my travel agent who told me that to bring my hol forward a week it would be 500 euro more and it would cost 280 euro amendment fee!!anyway i decided that it would be cheaper to cancel that holiday and rebook another.in the meantime i found another holiday with my existing travel agency and another well known agency,the later being 1250 euro cheaper.i told my travel agent and she rang her supervisor who agreed to A.match the holiday price.B transfer the existing deposit.Cthere would be no amendment fee.D i had 2 day to get back to them. i did return 2 days later to go ahead with the booking.my travel agent rang her supervisor to say i was going ahead with the agreement only she was told that conversation never took place!!!!!!!he didn't remember having the conversation never mind agreeing to the above.she was gobsmacked as was i.i do have paper she wrote the details on as directed by her supervisor on the day.what should i do.i had a verbal agreement and a document written by the travel agent.any advice

Try to get the most senior member of your travel agents to back up your version of events.Also the conversation your agent had with her supervisor may have been recorded if so ask for a transcript of the call. If calls are routinely recorded and they cannot find it then they are usually obliged to accept your version of events and act accordingly. Hopefully your agent will back your version of events and take the matter to a higher manager which should resolve the issue .
