I bought a Playstation 3 today with spiderman 3 on blu ray. Can i improve picture?

Its just it doesnt look as high def as a movie rental of swordfish i donwladed when i had my xbox 360 please help? o and how can i make the film full screen not wide screen
ye i bought the hdmi cable from game for 12.99 do u need the official one or does any do?

You need to make sure the PS3 settings are right for HD. I think it's called Video Settings, it's been awhile since I changed mine. The HDMI cable shouldn't matter, I use a Philips for mine since it's the same brand as my tv.
