When you do that you get charged overage for anything over what would be a daily prorated ammt for the days past in the current cycle.  For example... Lets say you had a plan of 100 texts per month and wanted to change it mid cycle instead of backdating it.  Anything over 50 texts would be considered overage.  Just call them and explain that you didnt realize it wasnt backdating and see if they can adjust the overage.</blockquote>
