I did a search on the internet to check a claim....?

made by many Christians. Many Christians oppose gay marriage on the grounds that gay marriage will be harmful to children. I searched for about an 4 hours on the internet doing Google searches and looking through online medical journals for proof of this claim. I found a lot of websites with "proof" that gay marriage will be harmful to children. Problem is, every single website that had proof that gay marriage was harmful to children had links to Christian websites. There was not a single article with evidence that gay marriage was harmful to children that I was not able to link to some Christian organization. I could not find a single article with facts and statistics from a reliable source which had good reason to oppose gay marriage. Not one. When I find one, then I will take your Christian claims seriously. Until then, I'm just going to assume that it's hate that drives you people to oppose gay marriage.
Hate the sin and not the sinner is still hate in my book.
 
Look up "proof of evolution" on Google. Most of the first page is Christian propaganda, none of which ever cites unbiased references. They have an agenda, an agenda someone with the "Truth" should not need to have.

There are no benefits of hating gay people. The only reason that Christians oppose homosexual life style because God forbid it and its their responsibility to let it be known. If you are looking for validation from non-religious source then you already made your decision. Its ether you believe God or a people that don't believe in God.
 
First, you need a lesson in biology. A gay marriage cannot produce children. You are dealing with two separate laws. A law to allow gay marriage would not automatically mean that a gay couple could adopt children. The lack of a law on gay marriage does not prevent gay individuals from adopting children in most places, because there is no law stating that only married couples can adopt.

Of course, the sexual orientation of parents would be only one minor factor in influencing whether they are good or bad parents. There is no valid evidence to support the theory that adoption by a gay couple is harmful to children. There probably can't be any valid statistical evidence at this point, because there are so few gay couples who have adopted children.

I must take issue with your use of the word "Christian." You are using it to mean "narrow-minded Fundamentalists who subscribe to a right-wing political agenda." There are many Christians who are not of that stripe.
 
It is not any more harmful then any other family situation. Christian's are against it because we can not condone or justify any sin. We must recognize it for what it is just sin.
 
Why would you expect anything different. It is Christianity that stands for moral values, so you are bound to find that as the basis for that reasoning. So why does that make it wrong, unless you just hate Christians nd God?
