So I've got my new Android device: the Samsung Galaxy S.
I really like it and the OS is just so much better than the iPhone's (I've owned one).
However, I don't understand a few thinghs.
1. SocialHub. What does it actually do? All right, I've read about connecting all your SNS, messages and stuff in one place. But when I launch SocialHub from the menu it's just a simple application that lets me go to the SMS application or to the messages section of facebook in the web browser. So what's all the hype about? A program containing two shortcuts?
2. When somebody talks to me on this little chat in gmail my phone receives the message and lets me chat with this person right away. What is responsible for this? Is it because I installed google talk, and it somehow ALWAYS works in the background? How can I go unavailable?
3. Facebook is integrated into numerous places in Android. For example, I can see status descriptions of all my friends displayed in Conacts. Nice. But I can't find a feature to find out who's available on the FB chat. If FB is so integrated into the system, I'd like an instant notification about an upcoming conversation like above with google talk.
4. Last thing: Photo albums. Now maybe I'm missing something obvious. When I take a photo with the phone it goes to a camera roll album/folder. When I want to save the photo to another folder... I can't. There's no such option. What's a really nice gallery application good for if you can only use one album?
OK, I can upload some photos to different folders from my PC. But why would anyone upload photos from PC to a phone? I don't get it. Isn't being able to choose the album for the photo like the most obvious feature in the world?
