sick son sci-fi/thriller on TNT? Several years ago there was a really cool movie that used to repeat alot on TNT..it was probably filmed in the 90s or early 2000s..it's not John-Q but it was a kind of sci-fi/action drama flick about a
blue collar hard working father who had to come up with a lot of cash for medical care for his son.
He made some deal with this big futuristic corporation for the loan- there was a guy in the elevator
on his way up to sign the contract that cautioned him that there's no turning back once he signs(this guy looks something like jude law), but the father was unmoved cause his son meant the world to him...when the father got off the elevator the enforcer in
the elevator made a comment: "Everybody wants to cash in, nobody wants to pay"..the company tricked him because they called in the payment very early when they knew he wouldn't have the money so they could get his son for their experiments..from what i can remember i don't think his son was ever really sick- it was all a setup..i think it was a doctor working for this company that made him sick with something, so it was a setup to get his son for research purposes...
he couldn't pay so they sent the guy in the elevator after them .. that phrase the guy in the elevator said was always used as part of the teaser trailer when TNT advertises it.
