I have a 1998 Acura EL1.6 Prem. I just a did an emission test but failed.?

You might need new catalytic converters.

You should reset the ecu and drive for a while like 30+ miles before you go back.

Then you could try to add a little isopropyl.

To reset the ecu unplug the neg battery cable then step on the brake pedal a few times then reconnect the neg battery cable.

Also only run the car on what it asks for. Running prem while getting it tested will make your score worse if the car doesnt ask for prem.

Also another big tip is before you go in to get it tested is go to a freeway and accelerate like 10 times at full throttle that will heat the cats up and help the exhaust gasses to change to a passing limit.

The next step is to take it to a shop.

The passing limit is suppose to be 576 and it failed, it read 1650. I want to know what I can do to pass this. I have refilled the gas tank with high octane gas (91). And have been runnung this now to clean the injectors a bit more.
