...20mph.? I don't know if this engine is non interference or not, a mechanic in Milan said yes. What likely is the damage done and is it worth fixing?

You most likely bent the intake valves in the cylinder head requiring at least a valve job or reconditioned head in which case you will also need a head gasket set,most likely head bolts and new timing belt should get it in order its an expensive repair however on that kind of car it should be worth it.
