Message: <blockquote data-quote="ShaneA" data-source="post: 2067752" data-attributes="member: 433156"><p>I have an '01 Edge and had the same problems.  First, change your transmission filter and fluid.  Your transmission filter is plugged and starving your transmission.  Your low mgp is caused by the O2 sensors starting to go out, change both of them and you should be getting 18 to 20mpg.  BTW the term idle is only used when the vehicle is sitting and you are not giving it any gas.  Idle should be around 800 in park.</p></blockquote><p></p>
