I have a Blackberry 8820 and want to download apps, how do I do that?

I just recently got internet on my blackberry and it is apparently too old to be considered a smartphone.. I want to download apps for like.. facebook, but I don't know how to do it. There isn't a link on the mobile website on the phone.
