I have a BMW 520i tourer X Reg. There appears to be a key failure all of a sudden....

...Set alarms. All of a sudden my remote control did not work and so I tried the manual method to open the car and it sirened and flashed but did not stop even when I started the car. It keeps on flashing even when I tried it with my spare key.
